Body elongate, subfusiform, extending posteriorly into a tapering, pointed, retractile, tail-like prolongation equal to a quarter the length of the entire cell. Extended anteriorly into a narrow, flattened, flexible and extensile neck, about one-half the entire length of the body, its frontal border slightly dilated and widened, and bearing extrusomes at the tip. Dorsal region rounded, and the ventral side flattened, longitudinally striate. Macronuclei with two, spherical, subcentrally located parts. Contractile vacuoles numerous, small, scattered throughout the cortical layer of the body, and extending in a series through the neck and tail-like prolongations. Trichocysts scattered near the body-centre. Nucleus slightly granular. Length of the extended body 635 microns.
