Subshrubs ca. 30 cm tall, glabrous except for pubescent young branchlets. Stems usually solitary, woody. Petiole ca. 1 cm; leaf blade abaxially glaucescent, adaxially green, elliptic-lanceolate, ca. 10 × 3 cm, membranous, slightly thick, lateral veins 4 or 5 pairs, arched, anastomosing near margin, base attenuate, apex acuminate. Racemes axillary at apices of branchlets or terminal, 5-6 cm, densely flowered. Pedicel ca. 2 mm. Flowers ca. 7 mm. Sepals 5; outer sepals 3, unequal, upper one rounded-saccate, ca. 3 mm, lateral ones orbicular, ca. 1.5 mm, base oblique; inner sepals 2, obliquely oblong, petaloid, ca. 5.5 mm. Petals 3, connate in lower 3/4, yellow; lateral petals ca. 7 mm, apex rounded; keel cucullate, apex with 2 saccate thickened appendages. Ovary glabrous, shortly stalked; style thickened toward apex; stigma in lower lobes. Capsule obovoid-reniform or broadly orbicular, ca. 4 mm, ca. 5 mm in diam.; carpels membranous, not winged, apex retuse. Seeds ovoid, ca. 2 mm, villous; strophiole ca. 1.2 mm. Fl. and fr. unknown.
