All the specimens cited above lack flowers or fruits. The type specimens have a clear shining and glabrous whitish to silvery facies, whereas all material cited above has a brownish puberulent appearance.

Shrub greyish white, silvery or silvery white or dull brown, up to l m. high and wide. Caudex up to 5 cm diameter. Stems profusely branched, erect or prostrate, brittle; internodes on current years shoots 10-15, c. 7 mm long; short lateral buds often present at nodes. Leaves reduced to scale-like cusps, up to 1 mm long. Flowers solitary, immersed in white axillary tufts of hairs. Fruits not known.
