Annual, hispid, small herb, with 2 types of hairs; long hairs articulate, short hairs dense, smooth. Leaves linear, fleshy, obtuse, sessile, membranous at margin near base; bracteoles oblong-ovoid, with apical setae, ± hirsute. Perianth segments c. 3 mm long, pale, membranous, outer long villous, the 2 inner broader, glabrous at back; anthers linear oblong, c. 2 mm long; appendages vesicular, shortly stipitate, oblong-ovate, c. 1.5-1.75 mm long, pale yellowish.
