Trees, to 10 m tall. Branchlets robust, gray, nearly glabrous. Petiole 1.5-3 cm, glabrous; leaf blade oblanceolate, 7-20 × 2-6 cm, leathery, both surfaces glabrous, lateral veins 7-9 on each side of midrib, slightly prominent abaxially, base cuneate, apex obtuse or rounded. Flowers not seen. Capsule oblong pyriform, 5-grooved (angular), ca. 3 × 2.8 cm, densely pale yellow stellate puberulent, apex truncate.
