Middle cauline leaves (20-) 30-55 x 2-4 mm, oblong-linear to linear-lanceolate, 1-3-nerved. Peduncle (7-)10-20 mm long, obliquely erect, 1-flowered. Bract leaf-like, 1-3-nerved; bracteoles smaller, 4-7 mm long, linear, equalling or exceeding the flower. Nut 2.5-3. 0 mm long, c. 2-2½ times the dried perianth length, ellipsoid to sub-globose, nerves reticulate.

The species closely resembles Thesium himalense, but can be readily distinguished by its broader flowers and leaves and the larger bracts.
