Plants annual, 30-50 cm tall. Stem erect, glabrous, branched. Leaves alternate; petiole with 2 large basal glands; leaf blade ovate-lanceolate or elliptic-lanceolate, membranous, both surfaces glabrous, setose between teeth, lateral veins 5-7 pairs, base cuneate, attenuate into petiole, margin coarsely crenate, apex acuminate. Inflorescences subterminal, racemose, 6-11-flowered; peduncles slender. Pedicels slender, bracteate at base; bracts persistent, ovate-lanceolate, small. Flowers pale pink or white, small. Lateral sepals ovate or ovate-subulate, small, 3-veined, apex glandular mucronulate or apiculate. Lower sepal navicular, with erect, short spur. Upper petal orbicular, with a black gland on each side of base; lateral united petals not clawed, 2-lobed; basal lobes orbicular; distal lobes oblong-dolabriform. Anthers obtuse. Capsule clavate. Fl. Aug.
