Lithostege dissocyma Prout, 1938
Taxonomy.This species belongs to the “bosporaria group” (sensu Rajaei Sh. et al, 2011). This species group consists of following taxa:
Lithostege bosporaria (Herrich-Schäffer, 1848); L. usgentaria Christoph, 1885; L. witzenmanni Standfuss, 1892; L. dissocyma Prout, 1938; L. hreblayi Rajaei & Viidalepp, 2011; L. samandooki Rajaei, 2011; L. senata Christoph, 1887.
The members of this group are characterized by: sclerotised valves, plate-like, harpe present, at base extended into a simple, free, slender, smooth dorsal projection. Saccus triangular; aedeagus short, straight, with scobinate or shortly dentate vesica. Female genitalia with a deep incision of the posterior margin of antrum.
Distribution. This species distributed from East Iraq and southwestern to southern Iran (see Map 3 in Rajaei et al. 2011).
