This species is included here as possibly occurring in Liberia on the authority of Bethune-Baker (1923) who records it from Sierra Leone. I have seen no Upper Guinea specimens but Stempffer (1957a) records it also from Togo and Nigeria. The species ranges east to Uganda and Kenya and south to Angola and the Rhodesias.
