Anthene juba Fabricius
Papilio juba Fabricius, 1787, 2: 82. Lampides juba: Butier, 1869b: 163 (but not pi. 2, fig. 9; see below). Cupido juba: Karsch, 1893: 227 (but see under Uranothautna falkensteini below). Lycaenesthes juba: Bethune-Baker, 1910: 63; pi. 10, fig. 32. Aurivillius, 1924 [1908-1925]: 456; pi. 72h.
The species ranges from Sierra Leone, the type locality, eastward to the Cameroon.
Liberia: Kpain, IX; "Wanan" [Wanau], IV (Stempffer and Bennett, 1956).
Butler (1869b: 2, fig. 9) illustrated the underside of a species he called juba, but this figure actually represents Uranothautna falkensteini Dewitz, a species the Fabrician description does not fit at all.
