Ornithogalum thyrsoides Jacq.

This species is the commonest in the Cape. It becomes rare in the northern Cape where this pic was taken.

This time the plant in its habitat. In this area it was one of the only flowers. In other places it forms dense carpets.

This is probably the commonest Ornithogalum in South Africa. I arranged my older pics and found this one.
