Description: spines of dorsal fin gradually increase in length from anterior to posterior (Ref. 52307).Coloration: body scales with brown center; in males, soft dorsal and anal fins and caudal fin with rows of brownish dots; females with violet colored belly; dark longitudinal stripe runs from posterior edge of opercle to caudal fin, visible in both sexes (Ref. 52307).
