Dinnawah Snowtrout

Potamodromous. Migrating within streams, migratory in rivers, e.g. Saliminus, Moxostoma, Labeo. Migrations should be cyclical and predictable and cover more than 100 km.

Found in hill-streams, in deep run backwaters. Mainly carnivorous. Breeds in the upper reaches of river and travels down after breeding. Known as a delicious table fish in Nepal (Ref. 40948).
