Haplochromis sulphureus Greenwood & Barel 1978

Mouthbrooding by females.

Occurs in exposed areas with a soft mud bottom (Ref. 4983). The specimens which were examined contained remains of dipteran pupae and some fragments of unidentifiable crustaceans (Ref. 558).
