Aster (Aster) is a genus of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Serbia, Azerbaijan, Western Australia, San Marino, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Crimea, Albania, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Gruziya, Ukraine, The Contiguous United States, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Greece, Montenegro, Channel Islands, Romania, Spain, Hungary, Armenia, Morocco, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Monaco, Macedonia, Canada, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Italy, Austria, Alaska, Bulgaria, France, Moldova, Belgium, Vatican City, Germany, Nakhchivan, and Poland. They have achenes. Individuals can grow to 0.85 m.
