Colonies. On Czapek agar at 25°C flat 29 mm diam., grass green to dark green; reverse grayish brown. At 40°C enhanced growth (44 mm diam. in 7 days), grayish yellow to olive, and with dark brown diffusing pigmentation; hülle cells 25 μm. Conidiophores. 20-125 μm. Conidia. 4.5-6 μm. Ascomata. Cleistothecial, 175 μm wide. Ascospores. 5-6 μm, provided with two equatorial crests measuring 1-1.5 μm wide, commonly extending 1.7 μm or more outward from spore body, with smooth convex surfaces.
