Gorgyra aburae diversata Holland, 1896: 32 (Ogove).
Evidently diversata ranges down the West African coastline from Sierra Leone to Angola (Evans, 1937: 94).
The first Liberian record is: Ganta, 1 S , VII (Fox).
There are also specimens from Cameroon and Gabon in Carnegie Museum.

It is found in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, the Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda (from the western part of the country to Bwamba) and western Kenya.[2] The habitat consists of forests.
