Erynnis marloyi ist ein Schmetterling aus der Familie der Dickkopffalter (Hesperiidae).
Die Vorderflügellänge beträgt 14 bis 15 Millimeter. Die Oberseite ist dunkelbraun mit undeutlichen weißen Randpunkten. Auf den Vorderflügeln befindet sich eine schmale schwarzbraune Subbasalbinde und eine schräge dunkle, etwas grau bestäubte Postdiskalbinde. Vor dem Apex zwei und drei sind punktförmige Flecken zu sehen. Die Hinterflügel sind dunkelbraun und ungezeichnet. Die Unterseite ist einfarbig braun mit weißen Punkten auf den Vorderflügeln wie auf der Oberseite. Das Weibchen ist etwas größer und heller. Das Männchen hat keinen Kostalumschlag.[1]
Erynnis marloyi ist vom Süden der Balkanhalbinsel (Bulgarien[2], Albanien, Mazedonien, Griechenland, europäischer Teil der Türkei) durch Kleinasien, Libanon, Syrien, Israel[3], Irak, Nordiran, Afghanistan[4] und in Transkaukasien verbreitet. Er lebt an trockenen Hängen, in Schluchten auf Karbonatgestein. Er ist in Gebirgen von 600 bis 2000 Meter und darüber anzutreffen.[5]
Die Falter fliegen von Mitte Mai bis Ende Juni. Die Weibchen saugen an Thymianen (Thymus). Die Falter sind extrem scheu und sehr leicht zu stören.[5] Die Raupen ernähren sich von Rosaceae.[6]

Th. marloyi Bdv. (= sericea Frr., rustan Koll.) (86 d). Wings black; the forewing with two oblique black bands; fringes hardly lighter than the ground-colour. The light dots in interspaces 7 and 8 very distinctly white, especially on the underside, where there are three spots, one of them being vitreous. South Europe, Asia Minor, Syria and Persia. [1]
The habitat is dry slopes, in ravines on [[Carbonate rock |carbonate rocks]]. It is found in mountains from 600 to 2000 meters and above.
Adults are on wing from May to June.
The larvae feed on Rosaceae species.

C'est un papillon au dessus marron foncé avec des bandes noires aux antérieures et le revers des antérieures orné d'une rangée de petits points blancs sous l'apex[3].
Il vole en une seule génération en mai juin[3].
Il réside en Europe : Albanie, Macédoine, Bulgarie, Grèce et au Moyen-Orient jusqu'en Syrie, Iran et Arménie[1],[4].
Il réside sur les pentes rocheuses et dans les vallons secs jusqu'à 2 000 m d'altitude[3],[4].

Het zwartbruin dikkopje (Erynnis marloyi) is een vlinder uit de familie dikkopjes (Hesperiidae). De wetenschappelijke naam is als Thanaos marloyi voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd door Jean Baptiste Boisduval in 1834.
De vlinder is zeer donker en vliegt laag aan de grond.
De soort komt voor in Zuidoost-Europa en aangrenzend gebied. De vliegtijd is van maart tot augustus in een of twee jaarlijkse generaties.
