Puccinia punctiformis Dietel & Holway; Dietel, Brythea 2: 128. 1894. O and I. Pycnia and aecia unknown,
Uredinia amphigenous, numerous, scattered, not confluent, round, punctiform, up to 0.5 mm. in diameter, rather tardily naked, pulverulent, light-brown, ruptured epidermis conspicuous; urediniospores broadly ellipsoid or obovoid, 18-26 by 26-37 m; wall light yellowish-brown, 1-1.5^ thick, finely and rather sparsely echmulate, the pores 4, equatorial or slightly above the equator.
