Sarsielloidea is a superfamily of ostracodes. There are 414 species of Sarsielloidea, in 35 genera and 3 families. This superfamily has been around since the wordian age. It includes groups like Sarsiellidae, Philomedidae, and Rutidermatidae. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 32 mm. They are burrowers.
