Setonix brachyurus (Quokka) is a species of mammals in the family Macropodidae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN. They are native to Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands). They are nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 144 months. Reproduction is viviparous. They rely on saltation to move around.
