Rhizome tuberous. Flowering stem 15-25 cm. Leaves palmate, with 5 to 11 elongate or elongate-lanceolate lobes. Spathe erect, funnel-shaped, green, striped with purple or violet inside. V - early spring (mid April in St Petersburg) to early autumn (August). Fl - May or June. Fr - July. P - by daughter tubers or by seed. Prefers a rich leaf mould-humus soil, and partial or full shade. Z 4.
