Carex vaginata (Sheathed Sedge) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, United States, Greenland, Alaska, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.23 m.
