Fimbristylis cymosa (Tropical Fimbry) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Cerrado, Pará, Amazônia, Rio Grande Do Norte, The Contiguous United States, Alagoas, Piauí, Minas Gerais, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Bahia, Sergipe, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, ParaíBa, Caatinga, Maranhao, U.S. Virgin Islands, SãO Paulo, Amapá, Rio De Janeiro, Ceará, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and Pernambuco.
