Heteropogon contortus (Tanglehead) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They are native to The Contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cerrado, Caatinga, The Hawaiian Islands, Amazônia, Puerto Rico, Ceará, Maranhao, Piauí, Acre (Brazil), and Hawaii. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Lipotriches bigibba. Individuals can grow to 0.7 feet.
