Panicum virgatum (Switchgrass) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They are native to Canada, North America, Eastern North America, United States, and The Contiguous United States. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Sarcophaga sinuata, Cheilosia capillata, Belvosia bifasciata, and Melissodes bimaculatus. Individuals can grow to 184.6 cm.
