Shrub, 0.5 - 3 m. Leaves thinly textured, narrowly obovate with 7-9 pairs of lateral veins; bacterial nodules linear-elliptic or dot-like; domatia absent; stipules 2.5-4.5 mm, broadly triangular. Flowers in branched subumbellate heads on supporting branchlets with 2-3 pairs of leaves near the apex. Corolla white; tube slender 1-2 cm; lobes oblong, 5-6 mm, spreading. Fruit spherical, 5-8 mm, grey-green to black.
