Plants up to 15-30 cm, with oblong, sessile tuberoids. Stem stout, angled, leafy in upper part. Leaves spreading, lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, ± folded, sheathing, up to 8(-10) cm long. Inflorescence dense, up to 10 cm long. Bracts foliaceous, lanceolate, exceeding flowers, the lower leaf-like. Flowers white and green, moderately large. Sepals green, subequal; the dorsal oblong, 12-15 x 7 mm; the lateral sepals ± spreading, obliquely oblong-lanceolate, 4-5 mm broad. Petals white, falcately oblong, forming a loose hood with the dorsal sepal, 14-16 x 4-5 mm; labellum pure white, 3-lobed from a very short undivided basal part; mid-lobe linear, straight, 11x2 mm; side-lobes 11 mm long, pectinate on the outer margin with c.5, partly divided, up to 7 mm long fringes; spur ± as long as ovary, 12-15 mm, laterally slightly compressed, obtuse. Column 3-4 mm high; anther cells diverging, anthers canals c.3 mm long, directed upwards; stigmatic processes up to 4 mm long, thin, projecting forwards. Ovary sessile, twisted only near base.
