Bomarea edulis is a species of herb in the family Alstroemeriaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Caatinga, Ceará, SãO Paulo, Distrito Federal, Sergipe, GoiáS, Rio Grande Do Sul, Cerrado, Pará, ParaíBa, The Neotropics, Mato Grosso, Alagoas, Maranhao, Tocantins, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Bahia, Piauí, Pantanal, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Acre (Brazil), RondôNia, Mata Atlântica, Paraná, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pernambuco, and Santa Catarina. They have berries. Flowers are visited by Dusky-throated Hermit, Black-breasted Plovercrest, Planalto Hermit, and Scale-throated Hermit.
