Bulb is ovoid and terete. Leaves are wide in lower part and linear. Short sheaths is  visible above ground. Spathe usually shorter than the umbel. Umbel has few- to many-flowered. Perianth campanulateand it is white with a purple mid-vein, ovate and obtuse. Stamens shorter than perianth. Filaments are flat, tapering to the apex. Anthers included within the yellow  perianth. Stigma obscurely lobed. Capsule is subglobose.

Allium papillare is a species of flowering plant in the Amaryllidaceae family.[1] It is a wild onion found in sandy areas in southern and eastern Israel and the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt.[2] It is a small bulb-forming perennial; flowers have white tepals with purple midveins.[3][4][5]
