Leptynia montana is a species of stick insect which is endemic to Spain.[1] In 1998 the species was studied by Anna Paola Bianchi and Patrizia Meliado who discovered that the species have 40 chromosomes.[2]

Leptynia montana is een insect uit de orde Phasmatodea en de familie Diapheromeridae. De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1996 door Scali.
