The width of body proper is greater at the anterior end than at the posterior end. The posterior spines are unequal in length; the left is shorter than the right. Posterior spines developed, left spine about 1/4, right spine about 1/3 of body length. In K. valga the cycle appears to involve primarily the addition of spines.
Lorica length 120-180 µm; lorica width 90 µm.
Posterior spine: right 60-70 µm, left 40 µm; anterior spines: median 35 µm, intermediate 30 µm, lateral 30-35 µm.
