Juniperus communis (Common Juniper) is a species of shrub in the family Cupressaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Alaska, Eastern North America, Canada, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, North America, northern hemisphere, The Contiguous United States, Greenland, Western North America, and United States. They have simple, spine-shaped leaves, yellow flowers, and fleshy fruit. Flowers are visited by Gelechia sabinellus, White-tailed bumblebee, Megastigmus bipunctatus, and blairs shoulder-knot. Individuals can grow to 6 m.
