Phyllosticta sechii E. Young, Mycologia 7: 149. 1915
Spots irregular or confluent, whitish or yellowishwhite above, darker below, the margin definite and slightly elevated; pycnidia numerous, dark-brown, restricted to the upper side of the leaf, reaching a diameter of 70-100 n, with a large distinct ostiolum; spores hyaline, ellipsoid or subfusoid, 2.5 X 7-10 /z.

Sechium edule Sw., Porto Rico.
Type locality: Mayaguez, Porto Rico, on Sechium edule.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
