moist, paler when dry; lamellae broad, rounded behind, adnexed or nearly free, rather distant,
whitish, becoming flesh-colored; spores angular, 10-12.5 X 7.5-10 /x; stipe straight, equal or
slightly tapering upward, silky-fibrillose or glabrous, hollow, concolorous or a little paler,
often with a dense mycelioid tomentum at the base, 5-10 cm. long, 2-4 mm. thick.
Type w>Cawty: Albany, New York. Habitat: In damp places in woods or their borders. Distribution: New England to Ohio.
