Xanthomendoza is a genus of small, bright orange foliose lichens with lecanorine apothecia. It is in the family Teloschistaceae.[1] Members of the genus are commonly called sunburst lichens or orange lichens because of their bright orange color.[2]: 130
Members of Xanthomendoza were formerly classified in the genus Xanthoria, but Xanthomendoza members have rhizenes or scattered holdfasts, while Xanthoria do not, and they have different conidia.[2]
Lichen spot tests on the upper cortex are K+ purple, KC−, C−, and P−.[2]
As of March 2022, Species Fungorum accepts 8 species of Xanthomendoza.[3]

Jalokeltajäkälät (Xanthomendoza) on heimoon Teloschistaceae kuuluva suku. Suvun lajit ovat pieniä ja muodoltaan lehtimäisiä. Väri on oranssinkeltainen. Jäkälä on kauttaaltaan kuorikerroksen peittämä. Jalokeltajäkälät muistuttavat keltajäkäliä, mutta eroavat niistä siten, että niiden kotelomaljoissa on ripsimäisiä muodostumia laidoilla ja kuromat ovat muodoltaan liereitä. Sukuun kuuluvia lajeja ovat pahtakeltajäkälä (X. borealis) ja jalokeltajäkälä (X. fulva).[2]
