Spots nearly black, irregular, subellipsoid or subcircular, reaching a diameter of 5-7.5
mm., definite in outline, with a border darker than the center; pycnidia occurring on the
upper side of the leaf, scattered, black, small, prominent; spores subcylindric, hyaline, straight
or slightly curved, 2-2.5 X 8-12/*.
