Insektskimmel-familien (Entomophthoraceae) er en familie blandt svampene, som rummer 14 slægter. Det er tvangssnyltere på insekter. Den vegetative del består af hyfer, mycelier eller hindeløse protoplaster. Sporebærerne er forgrenede eller uforgrenede. Sporerne frigives passivt eller aktivt . Hvilesporerne kan være koblede eller enkle og danner ofte en knopagtig, siddende eller stilket udvækst fra hyferne[1].

Entomophthoraceae is a family of fungi in the order Entomophthorales.[2][3] This has been supported by molecular phylogenetic analysis (Gryganskyi et al. 2012).[4] Most species in the family are obligately entomopathogenic. There are two subfamilies, Erynioideae and Entomophthoroideae, which were proposed in 2005.[5]

Энтомофторовые (лат. Entomophthoraceae) — семейство зигомицетовых грибов из порядка энтомофторовых.

Характеристика

Таллом состоит из хорошо различимой гифы, гифового тела и голых протопластов. Спороносцы ветвистые или не ветвистые. Споры бывают как одно-, так и двух-ядерные.

Биология

Облигатные паразиты насекомых.
