Brief Summary ( Inglês )

fornecido por Harmful Phytoplankton Project
Hofker (1931) and also Bakker & Phaff (1976) suggested to unite all small Tintinnopsis species with cylindrical lorica within the species T. beroidea. Transition forms between T. beroidea and T. nana have been observed. However, infraciliature has to be described and life cycle studies need to be performed before the species can be synonymised.
