bright-olive-green ; context dark, having a weak odor of soft soap ; lamellae brown, tinged with flesh-color, broad and rounded in front, tapering gradually behind, adnexed; spores elongate, 5-7-angled, 9-11 X 6-8 m; stipe cartilaginous, minutely floccose-scaly, even, solid, becoming hollow, dark-gray with an olive-green tint, whitish at the apex, 2 cm. long, 2.5 mm. thick.
Type locality: McGowan's woods, Ithaca, New York Habitat: On the ground.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
