Medium to large hypotrich ciliate, measures 140-330 X 70-150 microns. Two groups of 4 and 6 cirri form a corona at the anterior right of the ventral surface; AZM with about 60 membranelles, 9 trasverse cirri, and about 15 reduced dorsal kineties. Macronucleus in many (about 15-16) parts. Multiple contractile vacuoles along left margin of cell. Soil dwelling, and can form cysts.
