The latticed butterflyfish (Chaetodon rafflesii), also known as Raffles’ coralfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a butterflyfish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region.
The latticed butterflyfish is mainly yellow butterflyfish which has dark edges to its scales which create a dark lattice pattern on the flanks. There is a vertical black bar running through the eye and it has a blue parch on the forehead. The soft rayed part of the dorsal fin has a dark submarginal band while there is a wide black bar through the centre of the caudal fin. Sometimes there is a black spot underneath the spiny section of the dorsal fin and juveniles have a dark spot on the soft rayed part of the dorsal fin.[3] The dorsal fin contains 12-13 spines and 21-23 soft rays while the anal fins has 3 spines and 18-20 soft rays. This species can reach a maximum total length of 18 centimetres (7.1 in), although 15 centimetres (5.9 in) is a more common total length.[2]
The latticed butterflyfish is found in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, where it occurs from Sri Lanka to the Tuamotu Islands, north to southern Japan, south to the Great Barrier Reef, and from Palau (Belau) to the eastern Caroline Islands in Micronesia.[1]
The latticed butterflyfish is an uncommon species found in areas of rich coral growth of lagoons and protected reef flats and seaward reefs from 1–20 metres (3.3–65.6 ft) depth. It feeds on sea anemones, polychaetes, and octocorallian and scleractinian coral polyps.[2] It is normally observed in pairs.[1]
The latticed butterfly fish was first formally described in an anonymous description which was appended to the biography of the British statesman and colonialist Sir Stamford Raffles, who was first president of the Zoological Society of London, written by his widow, Sophia Hull. Raffles employed botanists and zoologists to collect specimens and it is thought that the description was written by Edward Turner Bennett (1797-1836) and the type locality was Sumatra. The specific name honours Raffles.[4][5]
It belongs to the large subgenus Rabdophorus, which might warrant recognition as a distinct genus. In this group, it seems to represent a rather unusual lineage, with perhaps just the white-faced butterflyfish (C. mesoleucos) being less distantly related.[2][6][7]

Kennoperhokala kasvaa 15 cm korkeaksi. Sen vartalo on litteä, yleisväri on keltainen ja tummemmat suomunreunat muodostavat vinoruutukuvion. Silmän läpi kulkee musta juova, ja pyrstön kärki on musta.[2]

Kennoperhokala viihtyy suojaisilla koralliriutoilla ja laguuneissa. Se liikkuu usein yksin tai pareittain 1–15 metrin syvyydessä.[2]

Chaetodon rafflesii is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van koraalvlinders (Chaetodontidae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1830 door Anonymous Bennett.
De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2009. De omvang van de populatie is volgens de IUCN stabiel.[1]

Chaetodon rafflesii, tên thường gọi là cá bướm thân lưới, là một loài cá biển thuộc chi Cá bướm trong họ Cá bướm. Loài này được mô tả lần đầu tiên vào năm 1830.
C. rafflesii được phân bố khá rộng rãi: từ Sri Lanka, băng qua biển Andaman, đến quần đảo Tuamotu thuộc Nam Thái Bình Dương; phía bắc giới hạn đến miền nam Nhật Bản và quần đảo Ryukyu; phía nam đến rạn san hô Great Barrier, New Caledonia và Tonga. Loài này cũng có mặt tại vùng biển Việt Nam[1].
C. rafflesii sống xung quanh các rạn san hô và bãi đá ngầm trong các đầm phá hoặc dưới đáy biển, thường ở độ sâu khoảng 1 – 20 m[1][2].
C. rafflesii trưởng thành dài khoảng 18 cm. Thân của C. rafflesii có màu vàng tươi với các sọc chéo xếp thành hình lưới mắt cáo. Phần rìa vây đuôi cũng có cam như vây lưng, còn lại có màu trắng. Phần trán có màu xanh lơ; phần mõm khá nhọn. C. rafflesii có một dải màu đen băng qua mắt. Vây lưng có một dải màu đen nhạt. Giữa vây đuôi cũng có một dải màu đen. Một số cá thể có một đốm đen bên dưới gai vây lưng. Cá con mới lớn có một đốm đen trên phần vây lưng mềm[2][3].
Số ngạnh ở vây lưng: 12 - 13; Số vây tia mềm ở vây lưng: 21 - 23; Số ngạnh ở vây hậu môn: 3; Số vây tia mềm ở vây hậu môn: 18 - 20[2].
C. rafflesii là loài ăn tạp; thức ăn của chúng là rong tảo, hải quỳ, các loại san hô và giun nhiều tơ. Chúng được quan sát là thường sống theo cặp[1][2].

雷氏蝴蝶魚，又稱格紋蝴蝶魚，俗名網蝶，為輻鰭魚綱鱸形目蝴蝶魚科的其中一種。
本魚分布於印度太平洋區，包括東非、亞丁灣、模里西斯、馬爾地夫、印度、斯里蘭卡、馬來西亞、泰國、菲律賓、印尼、中國南海、東海、日本、台灣、越南、新幾內亞、所羅門群島、澳洲、馬里亞納群島、馬紹爾群島、密克羅尼西亞、帛琉、諾魯、斐濟群島、夏威夷群島、法屬波里尼西亞、復活節島、加拉巴哥群島、東加、吉里巴斯、吐瓦魯、萬納杜、薩摩亞群島、厄瓜多、墨西哥等海域。
水深1至15公尺。
本魚體黃色，具黑眼帶，背鰭鰭條部有一寬黑縱帶和基底平行，在臀鰭基部則有一細黑紋。尾鰭近基部亦有一黑橫帶，且尾鰭後半部白色。體側沿鱗列有許多淡褐色交錯平行紋路，使體側看起來有如網目一般。鰭硬棘12至13枚、軟條21至23枚；臀鰭硬棘3枚、軟條19枚。體長可達20公分。
本魚棲息於珊瑚礁平台或靠內灣的靜水域。非常膽小，稍有驚嚇就躲在石縫中。屬肉食性，以海葵、多毛類和珊瑚蟲為食。
為高價值觀賞性魚類，不供食用。

良く似た種
良く似た種で、レモンチョウチョウウオがいる。見分け方は、本種は黄色地に網目模様が入る。また、背びれ後方は糸状に伸びない。幼魚は背びれ後方に黒点があれば本種である。
生息地は、サンゴ礁や岩礁域で、日本ではあまり数は多くない。レモンチョウチョウウオと良く似た模様を持つ。サンゴのポリプや底生小動物を食べる雑食性。幼魚は枝サンゴなどの枝間に見られる。また、幼魚は成魚に比べ、網目模様が薄く解かりづらいので、別種だと勘違いしやすい。
太平洋、インド洋（東部インド洋）中・西部太平洋の熱帯域。日本国内では、南日本の太平洋岸、琉球列島。
主に観賞魚として関わっている。よくペットショップに入荷され、安価で雑食性のため比較的飼育もしやすいため観賞魚として親しまれている。特に特徴のない地味さがあるが、飼い込むと段々黄色が強くなり、レモンチョウチョウウオのような鮮やかさになる。
