The 5 known adults were from hauls to depths exceeding 1,500 m. A single Gargaropteron-stage specimens, 4.56 cm SL, taken in a haul 0 to 304 m (Ref. 6944). Maximum depth from Ref. 58018.

Kali parri és una espècie de peix de la família dels quiasmodòntids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[6]
Descripció
El cos, allargat, fa 22,8 cm de llargària màxima. 11-12 espines i 19-21 radis tous a les dues aletes dorsals i 1 espina i 20-22 radis tous a l'anal. Aletes pectorals sense espines i amb 11-12 radis tous. Aletes pelvianes amb 1 espina i 5 radis tous. Absència d'aleta adiposa. Línia lateral no interrompuda.[7]
Alimentació i depredadors
El seu nivell tròfic és de 3,45.[8] És depredat al Brasil per Istiophorus albicans, Makaira nigricans, Tetrapturus albidus i Tetrapturus pfluegeri.[9][10]
Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica
És un peix marí i batipelàgic (entre 1.500 i 1.900 m de fondària),[11] el qual viu a les aigües tropicals i subtropicals de l'Atlàntic[12][13] sud (al voltant de 2,5°S-27°S, 26°W-03°E): Sud-àfrica,[14][15] el corrent de Benguela[16][15] i, possiblement també, Namíbia[17][11] i Nova Zelanda.[18][19][4][7][20]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans[7] i el seu índex de vulnerabilitat és de baix a moderat (35 de 100).[21]

Vissen Kali parri is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van chiasmodontiden (Chiasmodontidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1974 door Johnson & Cohen.

帕氏蛇牙龍鰧，為輻鰭魚綱鱸形目鱷鱚亞目叉齒鱚科的其中一種，分布於大西洋南方熱帶及亞熱帶海域，屬深海魚類，棲息深度在水深1500至1900公尺，本魚背鰭硬棘11至12枚；背鰭軟條19至21枚；臀鰭硬棘1枚；臀鰭軟條20至22枚，體長可達22.8公分。
