Descripció
- Pot arribar a fer 20 cm de llargària màxima.[6][7]
Depredadors
És depredat per Sarda chiliensis chiliensis i el lleó marí de Califòrnia (Zalophus californianus) (als Estats Units).[8][9][10]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí, demersal i de clima subtropical que viu entre 8 i 229 m de fondària.[6][11]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba al Pacífic oriental: des de Point Delgada (Califòrnia, els Estats Units) fins a San Cristobal Bay (el sud de la Baixa Califòrnia) i el golf de Califòrnia.[6][12][13]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[6]

The pink surfperch (Zalembius rosaceus), or pink seaperch, is a species of surfperch native to the eastern Pacific Ocean from Point Delgada, California, United States to southern Baja California. It is also present in the Gulf of California. This species is an offshore member of the surfperch family (the Embiotocidae), and occurs at depths of from 8 to 229 metres (26 to 751 ft). The Pink surfperch grows to a length of 20 centimetres (7.9 in) TL. It is the only known member of its genus.

Vissen Zalembius rosaceus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van brandingbaarzen (Embiotocidae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1880 door Jordan & Gilbert.
De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2007.[1]
