Morfologia
Reproducció
És ovovivípar i el mascle transporta els ous en una bossa ventral, la qual es troba a sota de la cua.[6]
Depredadors
És depredat per Haletta semifasciata i Platycephalus laevigatus.[7]
Hàbitat
És un peix demersal i de clima subtropical que viu fins als 24 m de fondària.[4]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba al sud d'Austràlia: des d'Albany i Cottesloe (Austràlia Occidental) fins al sud de Nova Gal·les del Sud.[4][8][9][10]

Vanacampus phillipi, also known as the Port Phillip pipefish is a species of marine fish belonging to the family Syngnathidae.[2] They can be found inhabiting seaweed and seagrass beds along the southern coast of Australia from Perth to Jervis Bay, New South Wales including the coast of Tasmania.[3][4] Their diet consists of small crustaceans such as copepods, amphipods, and mysid shrimps.[5][6][7] Reproduction occurs through ovoviviparity in which the males brood eggs before giving live birth to 50 or less offspring.[5][8]

Reproducción
Es ovovivíparo y el macho transporta los huevos en una bolsa ventral, la cual se encuentra debajo de la cola.[3]

Hábitat
Es un pez de mar y de clima subtropical que vive hasta 24 m de profundidad.
Distribución geográfica
Se encuentra al sur de Australia: desde Albany y Cottesloe (Australia Occidental) hasta el sur de Nueva Gales del Sur.
