Coryphaenoides brevibarbis és una espècie de peix de la família dels macrúrids i de l'ordre dels gadiformes.

Morfologia

• Els mascles poden assolir 35 cm de llargària total.^[5][6]

Alimentació

Menja crustacis petits i cucs.^[7]

Hàbitat

És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 1500-4700 m de fondària.^[5][8]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba des de la costa est del sud de Groenlàndia fins a les Açores i des d'Irlanda fins a la Mar Cantàbrica i el nord de la península Ibèrica. També és present a Islàndia^[9] i a la costa atlàntica de Nord-amèrica.^[5]

Coryphaenoides brevibarbis, also called the shortbeard grenadier, is a species of deep-sea fish in the family Macrouridae.^[3]

Description

Coryphaenoides brevibarbis is pale brown in colour, with the lips, lining of gill cavities and peritoneum black. It is up to 35 cm (14 in) in length.^[4] Its premaxillary teeth are in a narrow/broad band, while the lower jaw has one row of teeth. Its snout is low and blunt, barely protruding, hence the name brevibarbis ("short beard").^[5]

Habitat

Coryphaenoides brevibarbis lives in the North Atlantic Ocean; it is bathypelagic, living at depths of 430–4,700 m (1,410–15,420 ft).^[6][7]

Behaviour

Coryphaenoides brevibarbis feeds on crustaceans, mysids and worms, using olfaction and its lateral line to find prey.^[8] Lifespan is about 14–15 years.^[9] Cyclocotyloides bergstadi and Chondracanthodes deflexus are parasites living in its gills.^[10][11] Many nematode parasites are also found in it.^[12]

Coryphaenoides brevibarbis is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van rattenstaarten (Macrouridae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1896 door Goode & Bean.

Puckelryggig skoläst (Coryphaenoides brevibarbis) är en djuphavsfisk i familjen skolästfiskar.

Utseende

Den puckelryggiga skolästen är en långsmal fisk med en typisk bakkropp som smalnar av till en trådlik stjärt. Ryggen alldeles under ryggfenan är hög och bildar en puckel, därav namnet. Fisken är mycket lik röd puckelryggig skoläst men har en annan färgteckning; den är ljusbrun med svarta läppar.^[2] Den kan bli upp till 35 cm lång.^[3]

Vanor

Arten är en djuphavsfisk som lever nära bottnen på ett djup mellan 1 500 och 4 700 m. Födan består av mindre kräftdjur och maskar.^[3]

Utbredning

Utbredningsområdet i Nordostatlanten sträcker sig från sydöstra Grönland via Island till Azorerna och österut till västra Irland, Biscayabukten och utanför norra Spaniens kust. I västra Atlanten finns den utanför den nordamerikanska kusten.^[3]

短鬚突吻鱈，為輻鰭魚綱鱈形目鼠尾鱈科的其中一種，分布於東北大西洋區，從格陵蘭南部至亞速群島海域，深度1500-4700公尺，體長可達35公分，屬深海底棲性魚類，棲息在底層水域，生活習性不明。
