Photophores in ventral row between pectoral and pelvic fin insertions (PV) 21–26; post-orbital luminous organ smaller than eye diameter, spherical or ovoid in shape; elaborate development of luminous material above and behind post-orbital organ on side of head, including large patches or stripes extending towards rear of head. Color of head and body black; often one or two pale lines on flanks, extending as far as between dorsal and anal fin bases.

Trigonolampa miriceps is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van Stomiidae.[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1930 door Regan & Trewavas.
