Mangelia costulata Risso 1826

Mangelia costulata is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Mangeliidae, the cone snails and their allies.^[1]

Description

The shell is longitudinally ribbed continuing to the base of the body whorl, crossed by spiral striae. The sinus is broad and shallow. Its color is chestnut or horny brown, interior similarly colored.^[2]

Distribution

This species occurs in European waters and in the Mediterranean Sea.

Mangelia costulata is een slakkensoort uit de familie van de Mangeliidae.^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1826 door Risso.
