Description: English: This bird was found in the autumn months in
Saskatoon Saskatchewan on a high river bank with a "cliff face" overlooking the river near juniper berries and other berry bushes of the river valley ie Saskatoon, Chokecherry, High bush Cranberry, Pincherry, Buffalo Berry. Because of where it was perched on autumn trees barren of leaves, it was easy to sight from the top of the river bank looking toward the blue water of the
South Saskatchewan River. There had just been an article in the newspaper, the Saskatoon Sun, discussing the migratory patterns of this bird. Compare to these pictures and notes for identification:
