The wingspan is 15–17 mm. Adults are on wing from June to August.
The larvae feed on alder, apple, ash, aster, beech, blueberry, cherry, maple, oak and pear.

Sparganothis reticulatana is een vlinder uit de familie van de bladrollers (Tortricidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1860 door Clemens.
